[ I. ] accidental video:
[there's an audible hiss and the flicker of static as the camera sputters to life.
and for a moment, there is no one in view. for a moment, all that can be heard is the rough skid of feet on the wooden floors. the pull of papers tacked up on the board. and the sound of a punch (a kick?) failing to connect. blocked. and the jolting thud of someone jumping back. an almost audible pause for analysis. before skidding back into what seems the fray again. another bound back. a bit louder than the previous.
and though the angle is odd, there is no difficulty in distinguishing that whoever this device belongs to is currently engaged in a rather intense sparring session, as the first individual finally enters the frame. blocks another, well-aimed kick. wrenches his body back around to face his opponent. properly. and though all that can be drawn from the image is a mop of dark hair and dark eyes -- someone a little more familiar edges him out of the frame again. for so, it would have been the guess. but, it can't be him, can it?
it goes on like this. for another minute or two. before another kick is blocked. another punch. and one or the other takes a good jump back. analyze. again. and the taller, dark-haired man shifts his stance. knowing -- and for a moment, there seems as though the shorter (and more familiar) of the two has found an opening.
there's the quicker pounding of footsteps -- a flash of pale skin and pale hair as he moves in. as he readies a rather brutal looking uppercut -- and is abruptly redirected over the taller's shoulder (for so it seems). dumped unceremoniously onto the dojo floor with a definitive and decisive thud.
and for the first time since the video has started, there's a clear shot of the shorter's face. glasses knocked askew. white hair jutting up at unnatural angles. red eyes narrowed, if just a little. vaguely disgruntled. as he gingerly pushes himself up onto his elbows. as he goes to fix his glasses.
before the video cuts out, again.]
