[OOC:] Important character notes.

As you’ll come to learn through Kouichi’s stay here, Kouichi is immortal. When I say this, I mean to say he is of absolute immortality minus one very important exception: the use of the Shinrabanshou.

As it is going to be impossible to naturally retrieve the source of his immortality (because he and others from his canon will guard it with their lives/undying life – notably, this also is his desired ticket for death) or to gain immortality from the same source – any kind of altercation that will result in his “dying” is not going to be greeted with death – nor is any attempt at gaining that immortality going to be garnered. He states quite explicitly that he is not going to let a monster like himself be created ever again. Beyond that, you’d have to force it out of Miharu and he already is not savvy with that, I’m sure. Much more, any attempts even in the hypothetical to grant immortality to the self would likely end in utter failure and/or the overwhelming of knowledge upon the user of the Shinrabanshou. Or, in layman's terms, his brain will explode. Literally.

It should also be said that if for any reason he finds a “suitable solution” on another world – it won’t work. Because I’m an awful person and to be fair, it is a jutsu that binds him. To Kouichi's knowledge, there is no other means to grant himself death. Thus, the likelihood of him trying anything else to grant him it is pretty slim, anyway. Plus, it wouldn’t be suiting to the canon itself. Anyway:

Maiming, poisoning, sickness, etc. will only temporarily “kill” him. That being said, you’re free to hack at him if the situation calls for it and you speak to me first. Just don’t be surprised when he pops back up after a designated period of time. Judging on the actual canon, he can recover from being mortally wounded – give or take an hour. Even when killing him instantaneously. Severe injuries, it should be noted, also recover in roughly the same amount of time – or quicker, depending on where you actually hit him. God, this is so morbid. It seems to largely depend upon his ki and his motivation to do as much. As noted in the series itself (see: getting shot through the chest, etc).

So, if I could break this down:

I. Scrapes/bruises/shallow cuts:
Fifteen minutes to a half hour. "Deep" bruises, like a black eye, will likely heal somewhere more toward forty-five minutes. This is likely only when his ki hasn't been mostly expended or he hasn't pushed himself ridiculously. Really, it depends on where you hit him. Logic really dictates how long it will take.

II. Deep cuts/broken bones:
Forty-five minutes to an hour for clean breaks and cuts. The messier it is, the longer it will likely take. Any kind of fracture (cranial, etc.) or so on is naturally going to take longer to heal than another fracture in a less tricky area. Similarly, deep cuts are likely to leave a temporary scar the day or three after and the site of fractures/breaks are going to be stiffer and sore for a least a few days.

III. Grievous bodily injuries/death:
Depending on what you do to him, it will either take an hour or the better part of a day to recover (just enough). Being shot through the heart takes about an hour or so for him to get back to functioning levels (alive, not bleed too profusely through the mostly closed entry wound). Being ... Well, anything else particularly messy will take longer depending upon the severity. Notably, having his skull being ... Pretty grossly fractured(?) took him a few hours (with healing only, though).

ADDITIONALLY:
He can and will "slow down" his healing if he needs to convince you that nothing suspicious is going on. However, he does and can forget himself. Notably, when Raimei drags him off to go training a few hours after he had his skull grossly fractured, his "energetic nature" was not left unmarked. As that is quite seriously a very bad injury even with healing, it will likely be inevitable that his ability to rebound will be duly noted on the community to some degree. He will deny the injuries were very serious straight-faced, however. ):

Otherwise, any other questions can be directed at me. ♥
